Swimming banned on 9 Region of Murcia beaches this Monday
Yellow flags have also been raised in Águilas, Cartagena, Lorca, San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar
The authorities have raised red flags, which completely prohibit swimming, on nine beaches in the municipalities of Cartagena and San Javier this Monday August 26.
In Cartagena, swimming is banned on the beaches of Monteblanco, Galúa, Las Sirenas, Entremares and Levante beach in Cabo de Palos. In San Javier, the red flag has been raised on the beaches of Banco del Tabal and Pedrucho (south, centre and north).
In addition, there is a yellow flag advising caution when bathing in Águilas, on the beaches of Poniente II, Matalentisco, La Carolina, Calarreona and La Higuerica; as well as in Cartagena, in Calblanque; and in Lorca, in Puntas de Calnegre and Parazuelos.
In San Javier, the yellow flag flies on the beaches of Arenal (south and north) and Estacio Sur; while in San Pedro del Pinatar it has been raised on the beaches of Barraca Quemada, El Mojón, La Mota, Punta de Algas and Torre Derribada.
The rest of the beaches in the Region of Murcia have been given the green flag, according to the 112 Emergency Service, which recommends choosing a beach with lifeguard service and keeping an eye on children at all times.
